"Crete's mystery is extremely deep. Whoever sets foot on this island senses a mysterious force branching warmly and beneficently through his veins, senses his soul begin to grow"
Nikos Kazantzakis, Report to Greco
I come from the beautiful island of Crete, the most southern part of Europe and the place of birth of Zeus, the Father of the Ancient Gods. In this land, Zeus had with Europe (who had previously kidnapped from the gardens of her palace in the Middle East) 3 sons who became Kings of the Minoan Empire, one of the most developed empires of the Ancient World, which remains you can still admire at the several ancient palaces (Knossos, Festos, Zakros etc) discovered all over the island.
Words and pictures are not enough to describe how beautiful this island is... you should come to visit it. In any case, I'll try to give you a small idea with some photos I have made during the last years.
